Day 1: To Urumqy

Arrive at the geographical center of Asia--Urumqi by air or train. Pick up by bus, transfer to restaurant for lunch,then be headed to red hill park for the bird’s eye view of the city. Overnight in hotel.(L,D)

Day 2: To Korla

After breakfast ,we start our trip around south xinjiang. We will go through the eonormous tianshan mountain chain,take an excursion of Boston lake enroute. (the largest inland fresh-watered lake of China), then have fish cuisine for lunch . Arrive in Korlar –the city of pear. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 3: To Min feng(Niya),

Early breakfast. Today we drive through the second largest moving desert in the world ,and enjoy the fabulous landscape of the high, vast ,imposing sand dunes and the bizarre Eupheradius trees enroute. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 4: To Hoton

Start to cover the authentic southern silk road trip along the Kunlun mountain range. Arrive in Hoton .It used to be a very famous kindom on the silk road. The Jade dragon river cuts throught the eastern edge of the city ,from time to time bringing precious Jade to the town.You will have a chance to wade the water to sort out the Jade from the rock .Then you would visit the uygur workshop of the mulberry tree bark paper making, the orchard of the walnut tree king ,the hoten bazaar. Day 5: To Yakent and Kashgar

Head to Kashgar , one highlight of the trip .visit the imperial mausoleum in shache(Yarkent) .and visit a uygur dagger workshop later on. Arrive in Kashgar. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 6: To Tashkurgan

Tashkurgan altitude-3200m

Start out early and take some picnic food for lunch. Now you will be on your fantastic trip to the most spetacular part of the silk road, Parmir plateau.

The korakrum high way would  raise you higher and higher. Everything turns so big except yourself. The first stop is the hiking place,Aoyitag glacier. We will walk 3-4km to the best obersvation spot for the glacier,where you will have the picnic Then drive and visit the sandy lake enroute. Arrive in Tashkurgan county. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 7: Back to Kashgar

Bus rides you to the Konjrap border (altitude: 4900m)( Parkistan-China).The sky and landscape are out clear and the sun seems closer and more harsher. Some times  you may get chance to talk to  parkistanese by the border.Visit the Tashkurgan castle which used to the very import caravan stopover and a significant garrison. Then head back to Kashgar.Take an excursion by the karakul lake(altitude:3666m), where you would see the father of glacier, a very  beautiful snowcapped peak,Muztag peak. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 8: Kashgar Explore

“Not visiting kashgar doesn’t complete your xinjiang trip” is a local saying. We will visit the biggest Mosque of China --Atigar mosque ,the handcraft’s street on its back and the imperial fragrent comcubine mausoleum, the grand Bazaar, the old city where you can shoot hundreds of pictures. If it’s Sunday, you must visit the westerner’s favorite ,the cattle bazaar.That the most authentic local people’s life. Many busloads of western tourists would flush into the bazaar to watch the dealing of diverse cattles. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 9: To Aheqi

Today drive to county- Aheqi. Be headed northeast to Aheqi,where lived many kirgiz nomads and hunters.The hunters raise some species of big eagles and hunting falcons whose eyes are always covered when they don’t hunt around. They look so big and fierce .It symbolizes authorities in mideast. Each costs at least a landcruiser. Here we will visit a hunter’s family and watch a falcon hunting show. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 10: To Aksu

Heading to Aksu . And come to Wensu Tianshan holy woods garden. It’s not a moving,making site like the one in the states. It’s known as beautiful ancient trees. On vast Gobi desert grows many ancient trees, dating back 1000years.It’s amazing.

Day 11: To Baicheng and Kuqa

Start to drive by the foot of Tianshan mountains. In kashgar ,if you learn a lot about Islam, now it’s more about Buddism in Kuqa. We will visit the earlist Budda caves in China whose Buddism art resembes central-Asia style.The appsara is earlier than those in MOGO grottoes. Also drive through the colorful Tian valley and  big ancient beacon tower .The landscape here is breathtaking . Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 12: Explore around Kuqa

In the morning , drive north to see the ancient city ruins subashi,where Xuanzhang ever dropped on the monastery . Then we have a chance to review the grandeur of the mountain. Finally you would arrive the colorful, mysterious Tianshan grand gorge.You can compare it with Grandcanyon or Nevada landscapes. But it’s different. Another chance for you to walk. The gorge is so unbelievablely imposing  and beautiful. The mountain shapes come bizaare and viarious,which causes your continuous imagination.Then head back to Kuqa to visit second biggest mosque of Xinjiang. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 13: To Urumqi

Today a full day drive back to Urumqi. Overnight in hotel.(B,L,D)

Day 14: Depart

Early breakfast and transfer to airport to catch your flight.

Some recommendations:Summer months in Xinjiang are from early May to mid August.Although the  summers are hot and dry with occasional rain, the temperature can fluctuate as much 10 degrees centigrade between day and night.So be prepared for all weather conditions.Altidiude will be changed between 910m and 3900m
